Dans quel monde vivons nous ?
#1

A couple of weeks ago Bob Siebenberg announced this on his official website (www.siebenberg.com):

"Most of you probably already know that the long awaited and very controversial film of our Paris shows in 1979 is due to be released on Eagle Entertainment at the end of August, everywhere but North America. We are still working on getting it released in this territory. It looks great and sounds really great".

We ask it again… What world do you live in?

without others words, we had some information from someone other, as important as Bob; and there were some serious doubts!!

Christian has reason, the video promotions were deleted, in Europe also!

Your website is very good, but I'm sorry I have read recently some things I really dont like, it is not your site who made that Paris 79 was released.
I don't like (and I will use the word I really dont like and don't use normaly) I hate the competition between fans and fan websites and some competition between fan clubs (which one will have more fans), I don't like the lack of openness, lack of objectivity, the race to be able to approach the members (and former) members of Supertramp.....if never they are on concert (the same for Roger's concerts)..

when I hear, I read, what the people says "behind" and then when I see what the people say or write to one member of Supertramp (or former Supertramp) or to their managements and it is often the contrary, it gives me nausea.

the results?? The artists will have logically some confusion in their minds, they will follow the sweetened and false words of hypocrites, they will play the songs "cliché", because true fans will never be heard by them.. And possible true and loyal fans will be deprived of concerts!

All those things are not good for anyone! And although I'm a big fan, I'm seriously thinking of leaving this insain world even if I truly love Roger Hodgson's and Supertramp's music!

We should be here all to give us possible informations ..., to share our jewels, to share our impressions about the music; shows; performance of that or that, about pictures and articles..and videos, the sound, and so on… objectively if someone use the photos of others, he should mark the source to avoid any misunderstanding!...

Fortunately I have some very good friends abroad and in France I can trust, not all, I’m not so stupide and naive not to see who is really sincere and who is not..

I won't sulk fun, and I'm glad we can have a video three days before, after all, it is in Paris that concert took place ... ( I say this following in the behavior of some "fans" and "friends" ..)

Do you want to know in which world we are living..? In the world of hypocrisie! But it is not my world!!

Next time, when I will defend some website, I will really be careful before doing it!!

PS I don't need an answer, for me this dissusion about "the principe" is closed

Where is the problem? I have doubts on DVD Release in relation to the information we have compared the freezing of videos on Youtube.

We have the right to doubt? In my world, yes.

Hello RHMILA, and thanks for speaking English for us on this French forum.

We agree: there is a lot of hypocrisy (even demagogy) and lack of objectivity in this world of Supertramp and Roger Hodgson fans. No further comment about it.

For us this discussion is finished here too. Now we have known that the “controversial” picture is by Pascal Terrier and we are going to talk with him to try clearing it up. As we said to Christian, we received that photograph from other fan who didn't mention its author.

However, we want to clarify one thing you wrote wrongly… We have created a group in Facebook to ask for the DVD, we have passed on to every band member the interest from the fans about it and we are now recollecting thanks from the fans for the release, but we have NEVER said that our site has got the Paris DVD released.

Regards,

I was not only speaking about Pascal's photo, but about the relationship and behaviour of some fans in the world (which are) as "healthy" as the relationship among Supertramp members, considering today's news..

Sad, really sad, it's all I can say, without an animosity toward you or someone
